Join us for a fun, after-work volunteer event to improve our community's environment. We'll be meeting at Riverside Park to remove invasive shrubs and vines. This is a great opportunity to learn about and see how non-native species are affecting our landscape.
We officially start at 5:15, but don't worry if you're late. We'll be working near the parking area, so you can easily find us when you show up.
Ottawa County Parks and Recreation will provide all of the equipment you'll need, including gloves. However, you can bring your own gloves, if you prefer. They'll also provide water and a snack.
You'll just need to make sure you're prepared to work off trail. Closed shoes are required and long pants are strongly recommended.
As an extra bonus, we may be working near a herd of goats. These goats (we'll post some pictures of them soon) help with invasive species removal.
